Designed by famous synagogue architect Percival Goodman
The small but active congregation is the result of the merger, in the mid-nineteen sixties, of the Reform congregation Temple Beth Israel and the Conservative congregation, Shaare Zedek. Dedicated in 1949, the synagogue was designed by the noted architect Percival Goodman.
The sanctuary has a unique asymmetrical design. The striking and unusual windows have mullions forming a Magen David on a Mondrian inspired background.
